Published 2002-04-21

Abstract

The data is presented on the basis of eight years study on a captive pair of Indian Rock Python (Puthon molurus molurus).  The female laid in total six clutches (18-12 eggs clutch size) and produced totally 87 eggs, of which 56 eggs were incubated for an average of 72 days and 24 hatchlings were successfully achieved with famale bias ratio (F14:10M).  Breeding pattern and some important aspects of captive management of the species is discussed.
