Abstract
The morphometry of the tadpole of Microhyla ornata (Dumeril & Bibron) including morphometric measurements of adult, in addition to those made by earlier studies, were carried out in and around Silchar, Assam. These measurements were made in four developmental stages of tadpoles and in froglet and adult, with notes on their ecology. The morphological and morphometric changes associated with growth and metamorphosis and their possible adaptational significance are discussed.
