Abstract
Two subspecies i.e. Tenthredo sortitor brunneicornis Malaise and Tenthredo sortitor brunneipennis Malaise are suppressed into synonymy to Tenthredo abdominalis (Matsumura). The exactly similar external genitalia and other morphological characters barring certain insignificant variations mainly pertaining to colour and sculpture confirm their status as the junior synonyms.
