Abstract
A comprehensive account of he herpetofauna of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh has been provided, which includes an annotated list of 104 species of amphibia and reptilia along with their distribution in the districts and protected areas. The IUCN status of endangered species and a complete bibligraphy are also provided.
