Abstract
The present communication deals with a collection of scolopendrid centipedes collected by the scientists’ of Central Regional Station, Zoological Survey of India, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, from the Achanakmar- Amarkantak Biosphere Reserve and adjoining areas in Chhatisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, including Panchmarhi Biosphere Reserve. Eleven species of the Scolopendrid centipedes, two species of Geophilid centipedes and one of millipede have been reported from the study area, of which Cormocephalus pygmaeus has been reported for the first time from Central India and Amarkantak Biosphere Reserve.
